6th graders, you are invited to join your fellow classmates for a fun filled evening at Cracker Jax Family Fun Sports Park in Scottsdale, on April 7th between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
The cost is $23/6th grader which includes dinner served between 5 and 5:30 PM (hamburger/cheeseburger, chips and soda/drink), AND 2 hours of Ultimate Pass (unlimited access to Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, Mini-golf, Batting Cages, and Volleyball. *Dinner is served only from 5 until 5:30, so please be prompt.
Please click here to RSVP by March 31st for an appropriate head count. Please submit payment by March 31st to the black box located in the front office. All payments must be submitted in an envelope labeled with the 6th grade student name/event.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR TEACHERS!
There are no teachers celebrating March birthdays, so instead, we are celebrating our teachers with July birthdays. The PSO is happy to wish a very happy July birthday to the following teachers: Mr. Mos and Ms. Sheahan. We hope that you enjoy your new books!

The end of the school year is fast approaching, and the PSO needs your help. Do you have a suggestion for what you would like to do for your end of the year celebration?
If you do, please write it on a piece of paper and put it into the SUGGESTION BOX located in the front office.
ALL suggestions will be due by February 28th, 2017.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the used uniform closet has been moved from tomorrow morning to next Thursday the 19th at 7:45 to 8:15 in room 617.
We are having our annual clothing drive on Friday January 20th, from 7:30 am until 4 pm. Please look for the white tent in the parking lot. You may bring your donations at any time during the day of the 20th until 4 p.m. We are paid per pound and all the donations go to the Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa for abandoned and orphaned children. Below are the items that will be accepted. Please note that no laptops or computers will be accepted. Tax donation receipts will be available on site or in the front office.
The following acceptable items include: Cloth (please put in plastic bags) Clothing: Men’s, Women’s & Children’s Shoes: all types Clothing Accessories: handbags, jewelry, hats, ties, mittens, scarves, socks, backpacks, sweaters, jackets. Accessories: purses, wallets, bags, belts. Bed & Bath: towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, curtains, tablecloths, comforters. Misc. (please put in boxes) (items smaller than 18x18x18 in all directions) Housewares, Small electrical items, toys, small power tools, Home Décor Small sports/exercise equip, skates & helmets Books: (Hardback & paperback) CD’s, Records, Tapes, Video’s & DVD’s. Misc. items over 18x18x18 inches will be accepted as a donation only.
The Middle School Winter Dance will be held Friday, January 20th, 7 pm – 9 pm, in the H building. The theme is the Chinese New Year – Year of the Rooster. We invite the students to dress in red, gold and black, if they’d like. Also, please dress modestly with no short skirts or bare shoulders ladies, please. Also this is always a more formal dance and we ask that you dress appropriately for this event. Please refer to the family handbook if you have any questions regarding the dress code. The $10 admission fee is payable by either cash or check (made out to NPX PSO). Please place the fee in an envelope with your student’s name on it, place it in the black box in the front office by Thursday the 19th.
Saturday’s event assembling sack lunches for Phoenix Rescue Mission was a huge success. We had 80-90 parent and student volunteers. We managed to make 500 sack lunches in less than hour. The crew was amazing, even helping get everything loaded for delivery and the gym cleaned up afterwards.
Thanks to everyone that participated. Based on feedback and turnout, we will try to find more opportunities like this. I highly encourage those of you that missed this to try to make the next one. It was very cool seeing the kids get to participate in a good cause like this.
Thanks again, and since this is the last Dads Club event of 2016, have a great Christmas, and watch for our next event in 2017!
The 3rd Annual Clothing Drive is coming on Friday January 20th. We will be collecting clothing and household items in the parking lot under the tent all day. Please save up your donations and be sure to bring them on the 20th. We are paid per lb. and all the money stays in house for our students’ needs. Please see list below of acceptable items.
